This Aymara route tour takes you to explore the territory of the Aymara nation, which inhabits the high plateau south of the city of Puno. Discover their history, traditions, archaeology, and mystical sites surrounded by breathtaking landscapes that envelop visitors in magic and energy.
ITINERARY
- 8:00 am Pick-up from your hotel in Puno and travel to the town of Chucuito to visit the Inka Uyo «Temple of Fertility.» Here you will see a wide variety of stones carved with phallic shapes, considered symbols of great energetic power.
- 9:00 am Travel to the archaeological site of Molloqo «Mallku Amaya,» where monuments of the pre-Inca Lupaca culture are located. Here you will see several tall funerary towers, «Chullpas,» some cylindrical and others square, all constructed of stone during the pre-Hispanic period.
- 9:30 am Visit the ancient terraces known as «Waru Waru,» an ancestral agricultural technique developed during the pre-Inca period in the area surrounding Lake Titicaca.
- 10:00 AM journey to the Aramu Muru or Wilka Uta Interdimensional Portal, an impressive and mystical place surrounded by whimsical pink sandstone formations. The Portal itself is considered a gateway to other realities. Various rituals and ceremonies are performed here in honor of Pachamama, the Apus (mountain spirits), and Mama Qocha (water).
- At 12:30 pm, the tour continues to the town of Juli, home to four churches built during the Colonial period: San Pedro, San Juan de Letrán, Santa Cruz, and La Asunción.
- During the visit, you can enter the Church of San Pedro, which houses oil paintings from the Cusco School, considered to be of great artistic value. Afterward, there will be time for lunch at a local family-run restaurant.
- At 2:00 pm, you will board the return transport, arriving in Puno at approximately 4:00 pm.
