Mystical Titicaca Tour 3 Days
This tour takes you to the city of Puno and the fantastic floating islands of the Uros people on Lake Titicaca. The journey continues to places like Sillustani, the fertility temple in Chucuito, and the Aramu Muru Gate, which envelop every visitor in magic and energy.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Puno and Sillustani Tour
This service begins with your arrival at the bus terminal in Puno and transfer to your hotel.
2:00 pm The journey begins to the Sillustani archaeological site, characterized by its natural landscapes and numerous chullpas (funerary towers). Here you will find points of interest such as the Chullpa of the Lizard, the Intiwatana (sun-speaked light), and Lake Umayo.
In the afternoon, you will have time to visit the homes of the Qolla people and appreciate their customs and traditions.
Day 2: Titicaca Tour: Uros and Taquile Islands + Lunch
7:00 am Hotel pick-up and transfer to the port of Puno to board a motorboat for a journey across Lake Titicaca to the floating islands of Uros, constructed from totora reeds. These islands are inhabited by the Uros people, who invite us to explore their island and discover the way of life of this ancestral community that lives on the lake.
Optional: Time is available to navigate on the traditional totora reed boats, built by the natives.
The journey then continues to the larger Lake Titicaca to reach Taquile Island, where visitors can appreciate the vastness of the lake and interact with the Quechua people, renowned for their skill in weaving and traditions maintained since ancient times.
Lunch is provided at midday at a local family-run restaurant.
In the afternoon, the walk continues to reach the port and board the boat for the return trip to Puno.
Day 3: Aymara Route Tour: Chucuito, Molloqo, Aramu Muru, and Juli
8:00 AM: Pick-up from your hotel and travel to the town of Chucuito, home to attractions such as the Inca Uyo (Temple of Fertility), colonial churches, and a picturesque main square.
The journey continues to the chullpas (funerary towers) of Molloqo and then to the mysterious area where the Aramu Muru Gate is located, a magical place that has generated a variety of legends and great interest as a spiritual retreat where meditation and rituals can be practiced.
At midday, the journey continues to the town of Juli to visit the Plaza and the Church of San Pedro.
The tour ends at approximately 4:00 PM with the return trip to Puno.
