This trip to Lake Titicaca offers visitors the opportunity to explore villages that preserve their ancestral culture and traditions.
Travelers feel as if they have stepped back in time, reliving a piece of the magnificent history of the Incas. These natives are great navigators, dedicated to agriculture and textile art, and whose wisdom is still preserved in the designs and decorations of their clothing.
ITINERARY
- 7:00am. You will be picked up from your hotel in Puno and then transfer to the port of Puno to take our motor boat and visit “The Uros Floating Islands” walking on the reed islands and interacting with the natives.
Later you will have a chance to ride a reed boat with the natives (extra charge). - Afterwards, we continue our trip towards “Amantani Island” (2 hours aprox.)
Arriving to the shores of Amantani, you have to walk up along a narrow path, enjoying the views of the Lake titicaca and the typical houses inhabited by quechua natives. - Later, you will have free time to explore or take photos of this place on your own.
- Afterwards we continue trip to peninsula of Llachon where lunch awaits at one local restaurant (They usualy offer quinoa soup and grill trout).
- Later we walk down to the pier to take our motor boat back to Puno. Arriving to Puno by 5:30pm.
