This travel plan takes you to visit Copacabana and Sol Island in a trip that start in Puno (or La Paz) with pickup from your hotels and transport towards the town of Copacabana, located 151 km away. The journey takes 2.5 hours. The route borders Lake Titicaca with stunning views of the Cordillera Real. Arrival at the Copacabana Peninsula and welcome by the tour guide. Later in the afternoon continue the trip to La Paz or return to Puno.
ITINERARY
- 6:10 a.m. Pickup from your hotel in Puno (or La Paz).
- 7:00 a.m. Tourist Bus transport to Copacabana (2 hours and 30 minutes).
- Arrive in Copacabana and visit the main plaza, church and candlelit chapel.
- At 1:00 p.m., board the boat for the trip to Sun island (yumani).
- Arrive at Sun Island and visit the attractions located in the southern part of the island (temple of Pilkocaina, Inca’s garden, fountain of youth).
- Return to Copacabana and bus transfer to Puno (or La Paz).
- Ends at approximately 8:30 p.m.
